Candles and its physics

Candles can keep flame because of gravity. Gravity makes lighter (heated) air go up and heavier (cooler) air go down. This creates convection in the atmosphere. Therefore, candle flame can keep getting oxygen. Thus, under weightlessness, the flame of a candle can easily go out.

The pictures are Japanese candles. They have a many-layered structure that is made by hand. The wax is made from seeds of a wax tree.
